| Information You Should Know |
Greyfield Inn is air-conditioned. During the winter months we keep fires burning in the living room and dining room, making for a warm
and inviting atmosphere. |
| Dress is casual during the day and evening wear is more
formal; at dinner, jackets are required for the gentlemen and comparable attire for the ladies. |
Communications to the mainland are limited and we request that all phone calls be made before arrival on the island. Our telephone is a
radio-phone and is available for emergencies only. In the event the phone must be used, a fee will be added to your bill. |
There are no stores on Cumberland. The Greyfield Inn Shop provides a limited selection of essentials including sunscreen, film, books,
clothing, medications and insect repellent. |
Salt water fishing is good in the sound or the surf. If you wish to fish while you are here, some equipment is supplied, but you may want
to bring your own pole and tackle. |
As a licensed liquor establishment, private liquor may not be brought onto the property. |
Luggage should be light & limited. Due to our Island location luggage is handled many times by
different staff members. We appreciate your keeping each suitcase/bag to
30 lbs or less and of medium size. This will help with manually
maneuvering the luggage through the houses and when necessary up four
flights of stairs. |
Smoking at the Inn is prohibited. |
