Dear Wedding Couple: Greyfield Inn on Cumberland Island offers you a beautiful and uncommon location for your wedding. Our Inn is a turn-of-the-century mansion built by Lucy Coleman Carnegie, wife of Thomas Carnegie, as a wedding gift for her daughter Margaret. The home is rich in history and romance. Secluded yet welcoming, Greyfield offers a beautiful island gathering place for friends and family to join together in celebration of this special day. The Inn has 16 guestrooms to accommodate up to 32 overnight guests and can provide a ceremony and reception for up to seventy-five. Extra guests are transported to the wedding by private boat from Fernandina Beach, Florida to the Greyfield Inn.  Greyfield Inn is located
on the Cumberland Island National
Seashore, a protected barrier island off the coast of Georgia. The
island has no development, pristine beaches, and one hundred year-old
liveoak trees draped in Spanish moss, all of which provide for a very
private site for your ceremony. Weddings can be performed on the beach
at our gazebo at sunset or under a full moon. The front lawn with the
mansion as a backdrop lends an enchanting and romantic turn of the
century mood to your wedding. An hors d'oeuvres or dinner reception
prepared by our Chef will follow with an extraordinary array of dishes
from which to choose. Your guests can be seated at tables under the
canopy of liveoaks or in the formal dining room. During your wedding,
enjoy the sounds of violin and flute and afterward dance, if you wish,
to lively rock and roll or dine to quiet classical, jazz, or local
